The place is calm, where you can experience the cold breeze away from the crowded and muddled mall road – silent, scenic, picaresque. It offers the tourists quite night walks by the mind-numbing lake side view, allowing a memorable experience.

It has a church of St. John in Wilderness. Built in 1844, the church showcases popular Victorian architecture, built in stone with thick walls and stained glass windows. The altar inside the church is inscribed with names of the 1880 landslide victims.
At the Flats you can visit the Gurudwara and the streaming Tibetan market; here you can experience both serenity and bustle.
